Never travel in an Orange 901 when your friend has a ticket

Enough Social Issues :D

I am weirdly relaxed, after the mishap that might've happened..

After a heated but successful search for a drumset for the college fest, I realized i had to reach home before my Mom did, because as always i took the house keys with me

Mr. V promised me a faster alternative to reach home, via Bus Route No.901.. Skeptical as I was, the lines on my forehead increased when the new Orange Bus showed

my experience(and for that matter entire Delhi's experience)with this bus group has been BAD

We bought the tickets, I helped a blind man up, and we stood till me and Mr V took a seat.. Mr K had the tickets in his pockets..

The bus ride was smooth enough and I was shocked that I was going to have a good experience in an Orange Bus..

And then Murphy's Law struck..

Mr K got off the bus, with our tickets and at the same stop the ticket checkers got aboard..

Mr V and I now were in the middle of a sea without a boat.. We tried to sneak out but there were 5 checkers and so, we chose to confide, and prayed that atleast the Conductor will remember we bought legitimate tickets..

But the bloody checker refused to listen to the Conductor and a kind man who tried to help us..

The took us off the bus.. And I swear to God, I have never broken a law in my life and to be held accountable for such an offence that too when I was absolutely right was utterly humiliating..

Thank God that Mr. K was at the next metro station and had the tickets with him and we were saved..

Many other defaulters might have gotten away, because they held ua accountable

But I have learnt my lesson

No more Orange Bus for me now
I wish Mrs Dixit takes them off soon.. like their Blue predecessors..

Amen

Time to get off this train of Populism

Hey guys.. Long time since my last blog.. Have been real busy

Yesterday's railway budget had something which the 8 generations of budgets before it didn't : A Fare Hike

In current terminology, anyone with a little knowledge of the financial situation of the Indian Railways, will respond to the fare hike with a "LOL"

2 paise/km for suburban
3 paise/km for mail and express trains
5 paise/km for sleeper coaches
10 paise/km for 1st Class,AC Chair Car, AC 3 tier
15 paise/km for AC 2 tier
30 paise/km for AC 1 tier

I travelled to Mumbai in August 2011 by Rajdhani Express by AC 3 tier
The fare then was Rs. 1495
Distance b/w Delhi and Mumbai is 1384 km
Given the hike, I'll have to shell out about Rs 138.4 more

Ok, Rs 138.4 is a lot of money
but won't you be willing to pay that much amount so that the Railwaus can construct a new coach which makes it easier for the differently abled people to climb the train

I know it is demanding altruism from a country which is deemed to have a selfish money hungry population..
But the people I know are pretty compassionate
And even for the selfish ones, that extra amount would go into making the rail travel safer

Our Railway ministers have even shown profit(Lalu ji in particular).. How??
In 2008, earnings per train passenger kilometre was Rs. 412.22 while the hauling cost was Rs. 550.97

Almost a Rs 150 gap and yet the Railways made profit?
They indeed did, by selling scraps, rubbing some of it in the eyes of people and then showing it as profit from Rail fares.. How convinient

And now, when Mr Dinesh Trivedi has taken this token step, our dear Didi has decided to fire him and bring a new man in

Why Didi??
Haven't you ridden this train of populism too long? Haven't you financially drained the Railways enough ??

I feel that paying a few bucks more for a safer better train journey is better than giving into the demands of popularity seeking woman, who tries to get her demands met by throwing tantrums.. Isn't it?

The Man is her own minister, but as the decision might snatch the popularity from her, and as popularity is all she has got( Development and Welfare are something our Didi shies from) she decides to fire him and if not she threatens to take down the Government..

Give me a break? Is this democracy?

It looks like anarchy to me..

I quote Mohan Guruswamy(from The Hindu) : "it also means that all hopes for high speed passenger rail links and new freight corridors will have to wait for a more propitious time, when the train of populism will halt a while at the junction of foresight and financial prudence"

I think your station has come Didi

RIP Steve

Dear Mr Jobs

Like most people, I came to know about you from one of your products: the iPod. The features mesmerized me, to an extent that learning about who you were, and how you achieved this level of awesomeness became a necessity. The stories, how you built this company from a scratch, how your products evolved and how you transformed the world in that process of evolution inspired me. Whenever bleakness and hopelessness stares at me, i think of you and i am able to conquer my demons.

You leaving this planet saddens me, but also gives me hope, that in my afterlife i'll be able to use a Mac and an iPod.

Dude... I told you

So, ladies and gentlemen.... It all phased out like our dearest Government had planned.... They have been ruling us for 58 years(excluding the period under BJP) and if you were wondering why they lasted so long, this cunning bit of "oh, we so want the reforms(while muttering 'just let the ball fall in our court')" has shown why, despite numerous instances of corruptions, despite an exponential crime rate, despite riots, rapes and murders, despite the dynastic nature of ruling(as opposed to the term "democracy" they through about) why the Congress Government has survived the test of time..

Kapil Sibal to his fellow Congressmen(during Anna Hazare's 1st fast) "Friends, Congressmen, Muslims(PS: that's the congress motto)...lend me your ears... I come to bury our "dictatorial rule " not to praise it..The evil that men do lives after them....The good is oft interred with their bones...So let it be with our rule..The noble Anna...He wants to change the way we rule this country..He threatens if we do not the only other source of income for our fellow rulers he shall not eat...And unlike Irom Shamilla he has decided to fast in Delhi, so the option of force feeding is ruled out.... But Anna is a noble man... So why not do what we have always do... Let us involve them and give people an impression that we our burying our dictatorship... Then simply by using our accrued skill we can isolate them and do what we want.... Anna is a noble man... And we want to bury our dictatorship"
By excluding the PM and the Higher judiciary from the purview of the lokpal the Congress has achieved exactly what it wants... And knowing the loopholes in any law, i am pretty confident they'll be able to protect their dear ministers as well..

1. Higher Judiciary: The Congress Party claims that by bringing the higher judiciary in the ambit of the lokpal would undermine the whole credibility of our democracy will be eroded... Here is an excerpt from "The Deccan Herald " on the corruption charges levied against our former Chief Justice K.G Balakrishnan : " As reported, Justice Balakrishnan’s son-in-law P V Sreenijin, who is a member of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, had contested the 2006 Assembly election from the Narakkal reserved constituency in Ernakulam district.

At that time, while filing his nomination papers, Sreenijin had declared he possessed no landed property and that his wife had only gold worth Rs 4.38 lakh and a little over Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Three years later, Sreenijin and his wife K B Sony, both lawyers, declared Rs 35 lakh while filing their income tax returns. However, according to reports now, the couple, who have not declared any sources of income other than their legal profession, own property worth crores and are constructing a river-front resort in Thrissur.
Several of these properties are worth many times more than the amounts for which they have been registered. The CPM’s youth wing, the DYFI, has claimed that whatever information had come out was only the tip of the ice-berg." And an excerpt from "Day and Night news" on the corruption charges levied against justice Nirmal Yadav : "A CBI special court today directed retired Justice Nirmal Yadav to appear for arguments on framing of corruption charges on May 18. Sanjay Mehta has this report.CBI Special Judge Ritu Tagore on Saturday issued notice for May 18 to retired Justice Nirmal Yadav, former Haryana Additional Advocate General Sanjeev Bansal, Delhi hotelier Ravinder Singh Bhasin, Panchkula realtor Rajiv Gupta and Chandigarh resident Nirmal Singh for May 18. The five are accused in the cash at judge’s doorstep case.
The delivery of Rs 15 lakhs in cash at the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur of the Punjab and Haryana High Court had created a storm in August 2009. The amount was delivered by Parkash Ram, the clerk of Sanjeev Bansal. Later, the police and CBI claimed that the amount was actually meant for Justice Nirmal Yadav, who was then a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and had been wrongly delivered at Justice Nirmaljit Kaur’s residence. Justice Yadav was later transferred to the Uttrakhand High Court.
During investigation of the case, Delhi hotelier Ravinder Bhasin had claimed that the amount was meant for purchase of a property in Solan. The CB, however, termed the claim implausible as the property was valued at Rs 30 lakhs and Bhasin only had a 1/18th share.
After a two-year probe, the CBI had filed a closure report last year citing the government’s refusal to grant prosecution sanction against Justice Nirmal Yadav. However, the judge declined the CBI plea for closure of the case and directed the CBI to probe further.
The chargesheet stated that Justice Yadav was interested in the Solan property and other names had been included as co-purchasers just to circumvent the requirement of Himachal Pradesh laws that say that a non-farmer can buy a maximum of 500 square metres land only.
The CBI report also stated that Justice Yadav had availed valuable items and pecuniary advantage from Sanjeev Bansal and Bhasin. Sanjiv Bansal had purchased an executive class air ticket for Justice Yadav for the journey from Chandigarh to Delhi on August 2, 2008, it was claimed. Besides giving Rs. 2.5  lakhs to Justice Yadav, Bhasin had also given her a mobile phone for  personal use, the CBI report added.
The CBI filed a chargesheet in the case on March 4, the day Justice Yadav was to retire. It charged Justice Yadav, Sanjeev Bansal, Ravinder Singh Bhasin and Rajiv Gupta for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.  Bansal,  Gupta and Nirmal Singh were also accused of fabricating evidence.
“The case was fixed for hearing today. Court has issued notices to all five accused who include Justice Nirmal Yadav, Sanjeev Bansal, Ravinder Singh Bhasin, Rajeev Gupta and Nirmal Singh."
These charges are against the topmost officials in the judiciary and yet the Government has decided to keep them out of the purview of the lokpal. Do you know why? Because whenever corrupt politicians are in the doldrums it is their corrupt judiciary friends who become their saviors... Speaking of which don't you think Justice Santosh Hegde's report on BSY has come at a very opportune time ?? Just before the Monsoon session of the Parliament when everyone was hoping the Opposition would barrage the Government which attacks on the numerous corruption charges levied against them.... Another smart move by the Government, I must admit(Thankfully BSY has resigned) 2. PM: Dr. Manmohan Singh is not corrupt... I can bet my life on it... He was never a politician... He was simple hearted economist who put our country on the path of development... And a puppet who is used by Italian forces to run the country... But a former PM, Mr HD Devegowda has a, well bit of a chequered past : "
An aide of Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa today claimed that the family of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda had purchased land, including commercial property, valued at Rs680 crore near the city.
A list of agricultural land and commercial property allegedly purchased in 2005-07 by Gowda and his family including his son, former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, was released by BJ Puttaswamy, political secretary to Yeddyurappa"(DNA news) So many corruption cases have gone down since that last 1 year... That were committed atleast 3-4 years ago... Was our PM completely unaware of these issues... Or was he asked to stay quiet by his conscience? Dear UPA Government, bringing the PM and Judiciary will not harm the democracy, it would strengthen it... It will weaken your dictatorship... And will make life worth living for the 1 billion + population of our country... Kindly stop fooling people... And stop buying votes.... People... Please vote carefully, do not get drawn to Good looking faces.... Look at the credibility of the candidate... Do not vote for a Government, which is shamelessly proud of its existence despite being neck deep in corruption... Do not vote for a Party which divided our country at Independence and has been dividing the country ever since... Jai Hind

In a Hurry, but i can't ignore it

i really wish i didn't have 2 exams tomorrow,but i need to blog

In short what i noticed over the last 3 days:
1.Publicity Stunts and Scripted Fasts(Yes a fast where the Government makes a deal with the other party to break the fast giving both of them publicity)

2.The Yoga Guru is a major coward(diving behind people, letting them get hurt and dressing as a woman to escape)

3.The Ruling Party's amazing statements(The cause is communal(as soon as BJP RSS came in the picture the case became communal;before the fast began it was Babaji's tryst against corruption...Like the UPA never has favored Muslims(don't mind, but it is true))

4.Oppressive Tactics and Our shock at them, and rat race in political parties to get that 1 square inch of publicity(I mean c'mon, you think they care....1947(before Independence), didn't they know partition would result in violence??Our dear Gandhi's favoring of Nehru and stepfather treatment to Jinnah caused the loss of SO many lives, 1984(sikh riots)....who committed atrocities against the sikhs? Tooth fairy??Everyone knows who did it and because Congress is in power they find it easier to blame Modi for 2002 and spare those guilty for 1984.....They kill US and feed on OUR votes).... Rahul Gandhi condemned violence on farmers in UP, what about this violence??Now where are you Mr.Gandhi??

5.Corruption charges against the yoga guru just after he rebelled against the Government.... He is the limelight for so long, he has built his empire over a long time....Was the IT deptt and CBI asleep while this wealth was being accumulated??
And as such the Government wants the PM(Not Manmohan Singh but everbody from Indira Gandhi to HD Devegowda was a thief[in 1 way or the other]), The Judiciary(most corrupt people in India...KG Balakrishnan, Justice Nirmal Chaudhary and the other thiefs) and acts of MPs(Now c'mon like we don't know how humble they are, don't we :|)excluded from the purview of the Lokpal???? Who are they fooling?

6.Lamest Excuse ever: We came to warn Baba Ramdev of a terror threat(and ended up beating people ruthlessly)... How silly does the police think we are??

7.Rage against the Government which i HOPE(pray, fingers crossed)lead to its downfall...Enough is Enough isn't it? Its time to end Congress's "Fooling you since 1947 motto".....We need a change....don't you think so?

Let us not forget what has happened...Let us Rise Against these criminals.... Let us fight.... JAI HIND!!

Farmer time!!

Hey, wazza people???.... All my previous controversial blogs( about anna ji) and others have been removed due to certain issues my mom had with me.... I'll alter them and publish them again later.....

Recently, the farmer's agitation in bhatta parsaul( UP) intensified after police allegedly attacked the farmers( must not write allegedly here, i mean they did attack them), and the ongoing political tryst has shown a picture of the "Demonic" UP police killing the "Innocent" farmers, raping women.... Rahul Gandhi( the dalit farmer... if I may say so) is leading an agitation against Mayawati Ji and her police forces so snatching the rights from the farmers and torturing them when they demand justice......

Ok, this is the story that almost everyone knows, i mean that is what the news channels are showing.... Rahul's heroic bike ride to bhatta parsaul, and his agitation....

Does anyone know why the police attacked the farmers? This land acquisition and compensation has had a series a incidents all over the country, one of the most famous one being Our Bengal CM: Sushri Mamta Banarjee and singur.... In UP the lands acquired for real estate and F1 tracks have not been properly compensated for... and the farmers were on an agitation since January 2011.... 3 days before this agitation became famous for the police violence, the farmers had kidnapped 3 UP roadways employees....

My questions to Mr Rahul Gandhi in particular:

1. Does demanding for compensation validate the kidnapping of innocent roadways employees?? Is it to anybody's notice that these people also had families for support.... The compensation would come sooner or later, if anyone of those employees would have died, who or what would compensate for their death? Your visit to the deceased's home?
2. The police does what it is ordered by the senior authorities, they attempted to save the lives of 3 innocent employees who had absolutely no stake in the land or the compensation.... Ok, i admit they made a mess of it, but let us put it straight- If somebody threw a rock a you, and you start bleeding will you smile.... Ok, wrong question, you are politician and you won't react... Your bigheartedness and your image would take a tumble if you reacted.... But you know what a normal guy does when he is being hit?? He tries to save himself.... and that is what the police did at that time....
3.By the way, i wanted to ask you, where were you when Kashmir was burning?? I didn't see you jumping there on a bike, screaming at people to maintain harmony? and blaming the Government?? Or do say that Kashmir is not a part of India??? You reached UP via sneaky path within 2 days of every leader attempting to enter the battleground..... Why is it something that you hold against mayawati? or is it your love for the farmers that even as a part of India was demanding autonomy you were unmoved? Or is it something that Kashmir won't give your political mileage a boost as big as UP??

Mr Gandhi is doing his job, he is politician, he has to slam somebody, he has to gain popularity.... Good looking or not, politicians are cheapheads...

But try to look from the other side of the cliff.... Imagine the lives of the families of the 2 policemen who died... They tried to save themselves, and are being blamed.... Does anybody consider the fact that they were humans.... Totally irrelevant to this point, torture to Kasab is being stopped by human rights activists saying that he is human.... What about the 170 who died for apparently no reason? Were they not human....

Let us rise above this battle storm which the politicians subject us to.... Stand up and fight... But non violently... As W.Axl Rose said "What's so civil about war anyways?"
